Music, books, films, TV, bands, places, food, things - whatever takes my fancy - that'll be the content of this blog. Whether I am able to keep up the blether is another matter.
It may be good, it may be awful, but it will be an honest and personal opinion. And I have a few of those to share.
I am starting with something from my Christmas "box" - namely a superb album by Fleetwood Mac "Blues Jam in Chicago-Vol 1". From the start, the rawness of the album, with its studio background clutter, shows British Blues at its best. Hard to imagine that it was white bands like Fleetwood Mac that allowed this uniquely black music to become legitimate inside its country of origin. Some guest appearances from Blues legends such as Otis Span, add to the authenticity. Perhaps this may not be the best introduction to Mac for newbies but its a pearl of an album and worthy of a permanent spot on the CD (and the MP3 player if I can be bothered).
